SOMEWHERE BETWEEN BLUER AND BLUE

When I looked in his eyes inside I knew
The man I was seeing was undeniably blue
The love of a woman, or two, or three
Had taken his heart, then let him be
Left him to wonder had he given enough
Could his heart be more than true
Did he love to hard? did he love enough?
He'd change if only he knew
Why the love of a woman could burn so hot
Promise so much yet give no thought
In leaving him passionately blue
Then he looked in my eyes and inside he knew
The man I was seeing was decidedly blue
Cause he knows in his heart only love leads to love
So he'll give till he finds one that's true
Then the love of a woman will burn so hot
It will melt the memory that has him caught
Somewhere between bluer and blue.
